-About the Magazine-
‘Fire of the Spirit Teen Group’, or F.O.S for short, was originally founded in the fall of 2011 under the name of “Children of the Rosary Group’ by a group of Catholic teens through the leadership of Corey Louis . Our group is run by teens from all over the United States, Canada and Australia . We, the members of ‘Fire of the Spirit Group’ feel called to deliver the message of Christ, through much needed catholic media, to teens in a world where so much of the media directed towards bombarding teens with their immoral messages and personal biases. We began our journey in “media” by publishing a brief monthly newsletter with the firm resolve of our work being “for teens by teens”.
During the first couple of years of publishing we battled many different battles to grow our organization and somehow prevailed through it all. The two major changes that have happened to the magazine thus far is that in the Spring of 2013 we changed our publication into a free bi-monthly magazine and subsequently, in the fall of the following year, changed our name to ‘Fire of the Spirit Group’. The hard work that we put out into creating a high quality teen magazine can be seen in every subsequent edition of our publications, because the motto that drives us is that “Every work we commit to be better then the last”. We are happy to share that to further adhere to this motto, In the winter of 2014 ‘Fire of the Spirit Group’ officially created ‘Fire of the Spirit Blog’ to accompany the magazine in our work.
The ‘Fire of Spirit Magazine’ Staff is comprised of writers from all over the world, from the U.S.A, to Canada, Spain, and even Australia, all of whom are between 13 to 19 years of age. The uniting factor of all of the staff here across the board at ‘Fire of the Spirit Group’ is that we are of the belief that at times the best way to grow in ones faith and evangelize others is to engage and “live life” with fellow like-minded teenagers. We also are united in the fact that we are all actively practicing Catholics and profess complete fidelity to the Magisterium. Our goal as a group is to continue to improve in our means to deliver quality Catholic content and to deliver this content to a larger target audience. We desire that the works we put out to affect us all on a very personal level; moreover, we pray they will help to foster a deeper love and attentiveness for Christ, his Church and the world among all teenagers across the globe. For as a well-known song states, as Catholics we truly are here not only for ourselves but our brothers and sisters in Christ and because of this at times it may be necessary for you to “Lean on Me”.
Thank you so much for your interest in ‘Fire of the Spirit and we pray that you not only enjoy our various works but that they profoundly impact you for the good!
